Keď k tomu pridáme osobitý maliarsky rukopis, voľbu výrazových prostriedkov, vizuálnu naráciu, dostávame jedinečný a nezameniteľný obraz umelkyne. Autor textu: Damas Gruska
Lucia Dovičáková entered the Slovak art scene as an enfant terrible. Like a harsh epiphany out of the blue. Whoever expected that she would settle down after the initial thematic or expressive vigor, that the edges she intentionally enters would round off, that the eternal story of age-moderated radicalism and fading wildness would repeat itself, is surprised. The only thing that changes are her topics, they move to where life pushes her. Lucia absurdly, expressively and surreally processes stimuli from her personal life. But she does so in such a way that they gain a more general message, a universal urgency, without losing their authenticity. When we add her distinctive painter’s handwriting, choice of means of expression, visual narration, we get a unique and unmistakable image of the artist.
