Jej maľby predstavujú abstraktné kompozície, v ktorých prepája rozličné charaktery a štruktúry.
The common factor in the works of Rita Koszorús is the study of time, especially attempts to stop it. For Rita, art is a tool to break free from her regular flow – by exploring and capturing processuality, but also by creating a possibility of immersing oneself in certain timelessness. She problematizes the possibility of capturing a collective feeling, a shared, universal experience. Her paintings represent abstract compositions, in which she connects various characters and structures. She likes to experiment with the material and at first, she approaches the canvas as a textile, a fabric that can be shaped. She analyzes collage as a medium in a broader understanding – as a strategy of “an option to choose” or a dialogue with art of the interwar period. In addition to painting, she also focuses on video, installation and collages on paper.
