Kristína Kandriková experimentuje s maľbou na esenciálnej úrovni. Zahŕňa to experimenty formálne, performatívne, technické, rituálne, orientované na seba i na diváka. Rôznorodé prístupy, ktoré využíva vo svojej tvorbe vedú jedným smerom, k oprosteniu od všetkého rušivého a k číremu bytiu. Tento ideálny stav rozplynutej mysle sa snaží využívať aj pri samotnom procese a sprostredkovať ho divákom v dielach tak, aby to mohli sami pocítiť. Jej východiskom pre tvorbu je krajina, v ktorej je neustále a často sama. V horách Kristínu väčšinou fascinujú neideálne podmienky ako je hmla alebo tma, ktoré krajinu rozostria do tajomna. Svoje osobné intenzívne zážitky následne spracúva do malieb a priestorových inštalácií.

Kristína Kandriková experiments with painting on an essential level. It includes formal, performative, technical and ritualistic experiments oriented to herself and to a spectator. The diverse approaches she uses in her work lead in one direction, to freedom from all distractions and to a pure existence. She tries to use this ideal state of a blurred mind in the process itself and convey it to the audience in her works, so that they can feel it themselves. The starting point for her work is the country, where she is constantly and oftentimes alone. In the mountains, Kristina is usually fascinated by the non-ideal conditions such as fog or darkness, that blur the landscape into a mystery. She subsequently processes her personal intense experiences into paintings and spatial installations.
