TEXT FOR THE EXHIBITION

Autorská výstava Ľubomíry Sekerášovej je voľným pokračovaním výstavy Romantic Occultic. Tentokrát sa ale autorka zaoberá konkrétnymi fragmentami naratívnych námetov, necháva pohlcovať figúru prírodou alebo ju úplne vymedzuje a separuje. V čase pandémie sa ocitá v dome rodičov neďaleko lesa, ďaleko od priateľov a rýchleho života. Prirodzene začína splývať s prostredím bez ľudí a prichádza k čisteniu mysle ale aj tela. Psychicky znásobuje komfortnú karanténu plnú melanchólie, vlastných paranojí a preludov. Vizualita prostredia a nálada je sprevádzaná sledovaním seriálu Twin Peaks a filmu Mandy, počúvaním Bélu Bartóka, skupiny Depeche Mode a sústredením sa na ticho. To atmosféru úplne zjednocuje. Očistný rituál sa podobá prechádzaniu cez oheň. Oheň ako očistný ale aj zničujúci prúd energie tak prirodzený, ale vzdialený digitálnej sterilite dneška. Seeker of the New Dawn je o blúdení v lesoch aj o blúdení všeobecne. Je o výjavoch, ktorých význam nemusí byť prečítaný. Nevidíme, ale skôr tušíme náladu. Ako debata bez slov. Atmosféra sa dá cítiť, nedá sa presne vidieť. Chvíľka pokoja pred zúfaním a šialenstvom. Kľud, pokoj a meditácia. Úsvit znamená nejasný cieľ, akúsi fatamorgánu. Všetko je snové. „Hľadač nového úsvitu“ je samotná autorka ale stáva sa ním aj divák.

Výstavu tvoria diela, v ktorých sa autorka postupne snaží uvoľniť a nekontrolovať svoj rukopis. Vznikali za všetkých okolností, na čistých aj špinavých stenách. Tvorba bola obmedzená miestom, nie však vášňou. Každé z diel nesie v sebe a vo svojom názve šifru zdroja inšpirácie. Názvy diel sú odvodené od názvov piesní, ktoré autorka počas tvorby počúvala a ktoré vystihujú náladu v obraze. Hudba a úsvit alebo svetlo sú pre Ľubomíru absolútne východiskové v tvorbe aj v živote.

The new Ľubomíra Sekerášová’s exhibition is a free continuation of her last exhibition Romantic Occultic. However, this time the author is dedicated to specific fragments of narrative themes, she leaves a figure to be swallowed by nature, or she completely defines and separates it. In the time of a pandemic, she finds herself in her parents’ house near a forest, away from friends and a fast lifestyle. She begins to blend naturally with the environment without people and comes to cleansing the mind and the body as well. She mentally multiplies a comfortable quarantine full of melancholy, her own paranoia and delusions. The visuality and the mood of the environment is accompanied by watching the Twin Peaks series, the movie Mandy, listening to Béla Bartók, Depeche Mode and concentrating on silence. This completely unifies the atmosphere. The purification ritual resembles going through fire. Fire as a cleansing but also destructive flow of energy, so natural but remote from today’s digital sterility. Seeker of the New Dawn is about straying in forests and straying in general. It is about phenomena, whose meaning doesn’t have to be understood. We don’t see, but rather suspect the mood. Like a conversation without words. The atmosphere can be sensed, but not exactly seen. The moment of calmness before despair and madness. Calmness, tranquility and meditation. “Dawn” means an unclear destination, something like a Fata Morgana. Everything is dreamy. “The seeker of the new dawn” is the author herself, but the viewer becomes one, too.

The exhibition consists of works, in which the author gradually tries to free herself and doesn’t check her handwriting too much. These works were created in all circumstances, on both clean and dirty walls. Creation was limited by space, but not by passion. Each of the works carries a cipher of the source of inspiration within itself and its name. The names of the works are derived from the names of the songs that the author listened to during the creation and which capture the mood of the painting. Music and dawn or light are the absolute foundation of Ľubomíra’s work and life.
